Stainless Steel Strip 304
Stainless Steel 304 strip is made up of an austenitic stainless steel that has 18% chromium and 8% nickel in the composition. This is the most used grade of all stainless steels in the world. The strips are strong, mild corrosion resistant and have applications in a variety of industries. The Stainless Steel 304 strip also has manganese, carbon, silicon, sulfur, nitrogen and phosphorus in the composition. The thinner strips have higher strength values. The specification of the strips is the A240 for pressure vessel and high temperature applications. The ASTM A240 SS 304 strip can withstand high temperatures up to 870 degrees Celsius. The strips are used for this reason in evaporators, heat exchangers and in other high temperature applications.
